The International Compliance Association (ICA) – the leading professional body for the global regulatory and financial crime compliance community and part of Wilmington plc – is excited to announce that the ICA Compliance Awards Europe are back for a third edition in 2024, introducing 9 new categories.

Held on the 27th of June at Park Plaza Westminster, London, UK, the ICA Compliance Awards are back with brand new categories, featuring ‘MLRO of the Year’, ‘Fintech and Payments Compliance Award’ and ‘Compliance Influencer of the Year’. Some of the most highly contested categories returning in 2024 include the ‘Rising Star Award’, ‘Compliance Leader of the Year’ and ‘Financial Crime Prevention Team of the Year’.

The UK's only awards recognising teams and individuals across the financial crime and regulatory compliance community, the ICA Compliance Awards Europe are now open for entries, with 20 categories split across four key themes: Governance, Risk and Compliance; Financial Crime Prevention; Innovation and Partnerships; and Talent & Recognition.

Candidates must submit their entries by the 19th January 2024 for the chance to win an award. Building on their tremendous success in 2023, the Awards will return next year with a celebration of 600+ attendees to recognise the initiatives and achievements of the compliance community over the past 12-18 months. The Awards are free to enter and open to internal compliance teams, professional bodies, technology partners, consultancy firms and law firms.

Selecting the winners for 2024 will be an independent judging panel recruited by ICA. The esteemed panel of senior compliance and financial crime prevention leaders will review the entries against a robust set of criteria and look for evidence-based examples to back up the most successful Awards submissions. The judges will look for outstanding achievements, innovation, collaboration, and excellence across individual submissions, team projects and business initiatives.

ICA President, Pekka Dare, said: ‘We look forward to welcoming the regulatory compliance and financial crime prevention community to the ICA Compliance Awards Europe 2024 in London next year to celebrate excellence and recognise outstanding talent in the industry. Winning an ICA Award, an internationally recognised association and training provider, will help to not only build your reputation, but it will also shape your career for years to come and strengthen the credibility of compliance within your business. I encourage everybody with commendable achievements in the field, no matter how big or small, to enter the Awards or nominate their team or colleagues, and wish them luck.’
