The ICA Compliance Awards Europe are the leading cross-sector awards recognising excellence across compliance, financial crime prevention, governance and risk management.

There has never been a more important time to recognise the achievements of our profession. As organisations navigate increasing regulatory complexity, rapid technological change and growing expectations from customers, regulators and stakeholders, compliance teams are being asked to deliver more impact than ever before. Innovation is no longer optional. It is essential.

The awards provide organisations with an opportunity to benchmark success, gain industry recognition, showcase impact and celebrate the individuals, teams and initiatives shaping the future of the profession.

Can you explain what is meant by "supporting materials"?

Supporting evidence is not mandatory, but it is still a great way to support your written submission. We encourage you to provide stakeholder / client testimonials or other supporting evidence to strengthen your entry.

You can include graphs, reports, charts, testimonials, images and video content. You can upload one file but it can be multiple pages. Please ensure you reference the material in the criteria sections to ensure judges can easily match up the evidence to the criteria it’s linked to.

Why can’t I enter myself for some categories?

To maintain the credibility and standard of the awards, all individual categories must be nominated by a manager, colleague or key stakeholder. Individuals cannot enter themselves. We encourage individuals who would like to put themselves forwards to find an internal or external champion who can endorse their achievements over the past 12-18 months.

Do I have to attend the awards ceremony if I enter or am short-listed?

No, there is no mandatory attendance at the awards ceremony in June as a result of a successful entry. The ICA Compliance Awards Europe 2027 team would encourage you to celebrate your success and be part of the event. Please contact the team to discuss this further.

Who will read my entry and is it confidential?

All entries submitted to the ICA Compliance Awards Europe 2027 will be read by our appointed judges, ICA staff, and internal awards administrative teams. Judges, which are recruited externally, will have signed an internal judging agreement within our system to protect the integrity of your entries. This is not a legal NDA, but an agreement set in place to protect your privacy.

If you have specific requirements with regards to confidentiality, please contact our team to discuss if it is possible that arrangements can be made for you. The ICA would like to share best practice with our community and part of the agreement you enter with the ICA is to share your projects, people and organisations on our ICA platform. However, you are welcome to opt out of this. For further clarification please contact our team.

Can you define further what is meant by "We welcome entries recognising individuals working for businesses operating within Europe"?

The team, project, or individual that forms the focus of your entry must be located / or delivered within Europe. We will accept entries where the submitter is located outside of Europe, ONLY if the company they are representing has teams and business operations in Europe.

This is to help our judging panel with benchmarking and regulatory context. It also means that more teams can join us for the celebration in London on the 24 June 2027.

If your entry is referencing a team, project or individual outside of Europe, please review the entry criteria for the ICA Compliance Awards APAC and MENA.
