The School of International Financial Services (SIFS) has partnered with the International Compliance Association (ICA), the leading professional body for the global regulatory and financial crime compliance community, to offer a wide range of compliance qualifications in both Jersey and Isle of Man.

Undertaken by over 15,000 professionals globally, ICA qualifications are designed to equip industry professionals with the knowledge, skills and behaviour they need to perform at their best, combining global best practice, case studies, and practical skills.

Helen Hatton, Executive Director of SIFS, and former Deputy Director General of the Jersey Financial Services Commission and Director of Enforcement of the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission, said: ‘We are excited to be offering ICA’s best-in-class training and qualifications to regulatory and financial crime compliance professionals through SIFS.

’Both Jersey and Isle of Man are leading international financial centres, recognised for high standards of regulation. The availability of ICA qualifications is an excellent addition to the ongoing training and development of our industry skills pool, particularly those engaged in compliance, regulation and fighting financial crime’.

ICA President Bill Howarth added: ‘We look forward to building on ICA’s long established reputation of successfully delivering ICA qualifications in financial crime prevention, governance, risk and compliance in Jersey and Isle of Man by partnering with SIFS. Combining their local market knowledge with ICA’s globally recognised delivery of compliance programmes, we look forward to supporting industry professionals as well as regulated firms to develop a robust risk management programme, enhance their knowledge and skills and face the challenges of the future with confidence and credibility.’

SIFS will be running an ICA briefing session in June, to introduce the qualifications and provide more information on the September course intake. Email events@sifs.co.uk for more information.

ICA qualifications, where stated, are awarded in association with Alliance Manchester Business School, the University of Manchester.
