Malaysian employers can now use their HRD Corp levy to fund selected ICA Certificates and ICA Specialist Certificates for their staff.
12 October 2026 – The International Compliance Association (ICA), the leading professional body for the global regulatory and financial crime compliance community, has announced that selected ICA Certificates and ICA Specialist Certificates are now approved for funding by the Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp) in Malaysia.
Employers registered with HRD Corp may be able to claim course fees through their levy, subject to HRD Corp's eligibility criteria and approval process. The approval gives Malaysian firms a cost-effective way to build compliance capability as financial crime risks become more complex and regulatory expectations continue to rise.
Together, the qualifications cover core disciplines such as anti money laundering, fraud and sanctions, as well as emerging areas including cryptocurrencies and artificial intelligence (AI). This gives compliance teams in Malaysia access to practical, internationally recognised training that reflects the threats their organisations face today.
Lim May May, Managing Director, APAC, International Compliance Association, said: “Malaysian employers can now use their HRD Corp levy to fund ICA qualifications for their staff. We are pleased to make high-quality compliance training more accessible to firms in Malaysia, and we look forward to supporting the next generation of compliance professionals in the market.”
The approved qualifications are:
- ICA Advanced Certificate in Managing Fraud
- ICA Certified Financial Crime Investigator
- ICA Certificate in Anti Money Laundering
- ICA Certificate in Anti Money Laundering (Insurance)
- ICA Certificate in Managing Sanctions Risk
- ICA Specialist Certificate in Financial Crime Risk for Cryptocurrencies
