ICA provides four different levels of individual membership. Whether you are just starting out in your career, have gained an ICA professional qualification or are an experienced practitioner, there is a level appropriate for you. To join ICA, simply fill out the online application form, where you will be asked some screening questions to confirm which level you are eligible for. https://www.int-comp.org/become-a-member/
Please note: Membership of ICA is compulsory for anybody wishing to study towards an ICA certification or qualification.
If you started your course post July 2016, you would have had student Affiliate Membership. This would have ended shortly after you received your results. If you haven’t paid your membership fee, you will not be able to access the members only section on the ICA website.
If you require a new password, simply follow this link https://www.int-comp.org/forgotten-password, or go to the Member Login page and click ‘Forgotten Password?’ positioned under the Sign In button. You will then be sent an email containing your new password.
You can pay for your renewal fee online by logging into your Members profile. Alternatively, you can pay via bank transfer, or over the phone by calling our membership team on +44(0)121 362 7747
We do request that the relevant fee is paid through submitting the online application form. A receipted invoice will then be emailed to you if you are a new member. If you are renewing your membership, you can request one by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Most members will pay the fee by card and claim it back through expenses. However, please check this with your employer if you are unsure.
Once you have received your exam results, you will be eligible to be upgraded to the next membership level you are entitled to.

If you have completed a qualification previously, you may now be eligible for a higher level than before. Please refer to the membership pages on the ICA website which will indicate which level of membership you are entitled to.
CPD stands for continuing professional development, which is a process of tracking and documenting skills and knowledge that you have experienced, learned and applied.
We require members to complete a minimum number of hours per membership year, depending on your membership level. For Affiliate membership it is a discretionary 10 hours and for all other membership levels it is a compulsory 35 hours.

To become an ICA Fellow, our highest level of membership, you would need to have been either a Professional Member (MICA) for five consecutive years, completed a Professional Post Graduate Diploma (PPGDip) with ICA or applied through our Experienced Fellow route.
