There is no denying that compliance as a career is a huge growth area and, as has been highlighted recently in the press, there is currently a lack of appropriately skilled and trained compliance professionals.
This is why ICA is working closely with the Financial Skills Partnership (FSP), the UK’s Sector Skills Council for the financial services sector, to support the development of their Graduate Foundation College.
" The Graduate Foundation College is an ambitious industry-led initiative to help young graduates qualify… and fill much needed positions in small and medium sized advisory firms across the country. The College offers a structured programme of academic training and industry experience to bright, young graduates in order to increase their employability..."
ICA and FSP are running a joint venture to train 100 graduates with centres in: London, Manchester and Edinburgh.
During the three month programme, these graduates have undertaken a mixture of online and face-to-face training delivered by ICA’s UK training partner, International Compliance Training (ICT), and have sat the examination for the award of ICA’s globally recognised Certificate in Compliance.
If your firm would like to get involved in this worthwhile project to bring in fresh talent to grow the business, by offering a placement to one of these interns, please contact Nashima Huq at the FSP at Nashima.Huq@financialskillspartnership.org.uk or call 0845 618 2386.
