Compliance Apprenticeships and End Point Assessment (EPA)

ICA’s mission is to inspire, educate and enable the global community of compliance specialists to perform to the highest standards of professional practice and conduct.

To further support this we have been working with leading employers to develop new apprenticeship standards and assessment in the areas of compliance and risk.

A number of ICA qualifications have been approved for use as on-programme learning. Find out more about ICA qualifications here.

Compliance Apprenticeship Standards

Apprenticeship Standards have been designed to meet the needs of employers, learners and ATPs. They aim to:

  • Give employers control in designing apprenticeships
  • Increase the flexibility of delivery
  • Simplify the funding system
  • Increase the effectiveness of training

End Point Assessment

The EPA determines if the apprentice has met the skills, knowledge and behaviours specified in the standard.

We are approved by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) to offer our independent end point assessment (EPA) service to employers and Apprenticeship Training Providers (ATPs) with apprentices who are ready to take EPA.

ICA offer EPA for the following apprenticeship standards:

ICA End Point Assessment (EPA) Service

An end-point assessment is the final assessment that enables an apprentice to demonstrate that they are fully competent and have successfully completed their apprenticeship programme.

Rigorous, robust and independent end-point assessment (EPA) is essential to give employers confidence that apprentices completing an apprenticeship standard can actually perform in the occupation they have been trained in and can demonstrate the duties, and knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the occupational standard.

Successful completion of EPA demonstrates that the apprentice is competent in their role and will result in recognition by the ICA and the award of the apprenticeship certificate by the Institute for Apprenticeships (IfA).

ICA have designed an easy-to-use high-quality EPA service delivering secure, valid and robust assessments.
