ICA Advanced Certificate in Legal Compliance

Course level : Intermediate

Law firms must take responsibility for managing risks to their delivery of legal services and because of this the SRA regulatory requirement is that every authorised law firm must have a Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA).

This certification designed by legal compliance practitioners provides a comprehensive overview of the compliance function within legal practice for the jurisdictions of England and Wales. The qualification teaches you how to understand the regulatory framework, the SRA’s key principles and other relevant regulatory duties and legislation so you can use your knowledge to guide decisions, policy, manage recording and reporting responsibilities. You will leave with the ability to better direct and apply policy and systems to allow your firm to operate effectively to deliver the correct professional standards as expected by the SRA.
