The International Compliance Association (ICA) announces the launch of a brand new certificate in know your customer and customer due diligence. The ICA Certificate in KYC and CDD has been created to provide a fountain of knowledge of core KYC and CDD concepts.
The introductory level certificate is awarded in association with Alliance Manchester Business School, the University of Manchester is aimed at new entrants into KYC those who follow the CDD process. The course covers key risk areas such as CDD frameworks, the regulatory framework, the CDD process and outcomes and taking a practical, risk-based approach to CDD.
A spokesperson from ICA had this to say about the new course:
"KYC requirements are at the core of regulatory expectations and corporate change programmes so firms need their staff to have adequate knowledge of customer due diligence. This new introductory level provides an all round view of the regulatory requirements for risk-based customer due diligence, the key CDD concepts and the organisational components of an effective KYC process."
The course will be available in November to study by online learning wherever you are in the world, and there are also workshops scheduled to take place in London and Jersey initially, with other centres being added next year. It will also be available on an in-house basis through ICA’s training partner, International Compliance Training (ICT), for those firms looking to train more than 10 members of staff.
