Industry leaders will take part in “The BIG Compliance Conversation” on 16-17 October 2019
14 August 2019, Singapore – The global compliance and regulatory community will come together on 16-17 October 2019 at Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore for the International Compliance Association’s 2nd APAC Conference “The BIG Compliance Conversation… Continued”.
Government and industry leaders will descend from all parts of the Asia Pacific region and beyond to discuss the issues most critical on the compliance agenda, network with delegates from over 13 countries and exchange best industry practice.
Loo Siew Yee, AMD Policy, Payments & Financial Crime from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), will deliver the keynote address on the opening day, 16 October, while Malcolm Wright, Chief Compliance Officer, Diginex; and NG Nam Sin, CEO of The Institute of Banking and Finance, will address delegates in a keynote session on the following day, 17 October.
Other distinguished speakers include Jon Yeo, Chief Compliance Officer, Maybank Singapore; Lim Siew Lee, Executive Director and Head of Group AML/CFT/Sanction Compliance, United Overseas Bank; Harpejan Kaur, MICA, Head of Compliance, AIG Malaysia; Chen, Jee Meng, MLRO, Commerz Bank AG, Singapore Branch; and Guy Sheppard, Head of Asia Pacific Financial Crime Intelligence and Initiatives, SWIFT.
As well as attending sessions in the main conference hall, attendees can personalise their own agenda from a selection of streams delivered by more than 20 industry experts including ICA Fellows. Hot industry topics such as the global fight against corruption, trade-based money laundering, regulatory technology, virtual banking, crypto regulation and many more are all covered. Delegates can also participate in live Q&As as part of three panel discussions on “Women in compliance”; “The impact of RegTech on compliance” and “The key skills of the modern compliance professional”.

Pre-conference masterclasses on anti money laundering and governance, risk and compliance will take place on 15 October as part of facilitator led sessions, featuring case studies and practical exercises to enhance the discussion and networking opportunities for attendees.
