Below you will find some links on how to use the internet for research. The ICA links sections have a vast array of links that will help you with your studies from regulators to law libraries, PEP research and a wealth of industry related sites.
Make the most out of both sites by using the
ICT website to test yourself and the
ICA website to expand your knowledge base. All the necessary tools are here to help you.
The
National Legislation area of the ICA site is packed full of laws and regulations that affect your jurisdiction but events can move very vast in each country so it is always wise to check that there hasn't been any more recent legislation with your local regulator. These links are provided for your convenience. Please be aware that alot of content in the site is held in Adobe PDF format - you can download this for free using the Adobe icon on the right of the screen (you may need to check with your IT department for permission to do this).
The
Member Updates area is where we post major announcements from groups like the FATF, OECD and the US Treasury. Is it possible for you to sign up with your local regulator to receive important news from them? Many regulators provide an e-mail alert service and these are well worth signing up for to keep your knowledge of your immediate financial environment up to date. Have you signed up to the ICA
Email Alerts?
The Discussion
Discussion Forum on the ICA site is a great way to bounce ideas off your peers.
The
Knowledge Bank Bank and
Online Resource Centre folders etc are also full of fantastically handy resources.
Most importantly the sites are here to help you with your studies and your careers. We want the sites to be your dedicated compliance resource so if there are things that you would like to see added, changed or if you would like to make any suggestions, please
Contact Us.
ICT: The UK Approved Training Provider The ICT site uniquely holds the training programme where you can test your new found knowledge with the Self Assessment Questions. If you are struggling with these it would be helpful for you to re-read your course material. The suggested answers are also full of links for you to follow and to help you learn more. Alternatively, on the ICT site you can ask questions direct to your tutor or the course administrator. So whatever your queries, there will be someone here to help you.
