The Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority has announced an agreement with the International Compliance Association to improve training and advance professional standards in the United Arab Emirates' capital markets and the financial services industry.
In a statement, Abdullah Al-Turifi, ESCA chief executive, said that the ESCA was seeking to investment activity by adopting specialized professional training methods that will strengthen the professional standards of personnel working in the country's financial sector. Al-Turifi added that the agreement with ICA would yield training programmes designed to advance local understanding of the products being traded on UAE markets, as well as risk-management. According to the agreement, the ICA will provide and customize training and accreditation programs that address core financial service issues, including systematic risk management techniques. The ICA will identify what knowledge is required and provide courses and accreditation.
