Richard Conder

Professor Richard Conder is the Chief Executive of the Training Agency in Guernsey. Responsible for the procurement and facilitation of professional, management and continuing professional development training, the Training Agency identifies and promotes training across all of Guernsey’s economic sector, working closely with private and public sector providers, regulatory authorities, government agencies, universities and professional bodies.

Professor Conder was the Pro Vice Chancellor of Bournemouth University in Finance and Corporate Development from 1996 to 2002. He was responsible for overall stewardship of the University’s finances, overseeing annual business planning, oversight of the University estates and in charge of the external relations and marketing, including international development. Before this he was the Head of the School of Finance and Law at Bournemouth University responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the internationally recognized school.

Professor Conder is also a visiting professor to the University of Insurance and Banking in Warsaw. In addition to this he holds several directorships, has contributed to numerous course developments at various UK universities in Law and accounting services and acted as an external examiner in accounting and management degrees.
